A 30-Day (Personal Development) Challenge, Day 6: Listening to Abraham Hicks videos

Hey there guys and gals, how are you? Clark here as always, and a warm welcome back to my 30-day personal development challenge/case study! Before starting Day 6, you may have a look at my Day 5 activities and findings (if any). My ultimate aim in these 30 days is to raise and maintain my vibration (good feelings) at a much higher level than I’ve ever achieved before. Today I was feeling a little bit de-motivated and don’t feel like doing anything, so I decided to listen to some Abraham Hicks videos on YouTube to (hopefully) experience a pick-me-up.

What are Abraham Hicks videos about?

Once you’ve listened to enough Abraham Hicks videos, you would find, as I do, that there are overlaps amongst the videos, which is un-surprising because most personal development teachers have one or two overarching messages to convey, and so it makes a lot of sense that they would repeat certain things. But I do like to refresh my memory from time to time, and of course there is always the chance that I could gain some kind of new perspective.

By the way, Abraham Hicks videos contain the teachings of Abraham/Source/Non-Physical Intelligence presented by Esther Hicks, a lady who ‘channels’ Abraham/Source/Non-Physical Intelligence through her to talk to us and teach us.

Achieving Alignment with Source

Abraham Hicks advises achieving alignment with Source, to be connected with who we really are. Feeling good, joy, love and peace. Satisfied with where we are but eager for more, eager for life. That’s who we really are. Two practices she always recommends in order to reach that place are meditation and appreciation.

There is a range of emotions that you could experience. Despair and fear is at, or very near, the bottom of the good-feeling scale, and moving up we would have revenge and anger, frustration and feeling overwhelmed, hopefulness, believing, eagerness, passion, and joy, freedom, love and appreciation. It might be very difficult to go from despair to, say, believing all at once. I recently watched an Abraham Hicks video, in which she said if the best you can do right now is moving from despair to revenge, so be it. Accept that you are where you are, and use where you are as your stepping stone to reach even higher.

It all sounds simple enough, but not many people dare to take that first step. Which is a pity because they would then be inspired to do more because of how good it feels, not to mention that they would begin receiving guidance from Source.
