Another Self-help Journey Part 9: How to stop being anxious

Hello there, and welcome to another installment of this series! Today I want to give my opinion on how to stop being anxious using all the self-help knowledge I’ve learned. Stopping anxiety might be more important than you think. Because it is almost impossible to feel really good when you are anxious about something. And feeling really good is the key to manifesting all the things you have asked the Universe for.

Anxiety is a trained state

Some people are anxious beings. Always worrying about finances, about health, about bad luck, about car breaking down, about the weather. If you find yourself holding your breath a lot of the time in your day-to-day living, then you’re probably one of these anxious people. I was one of them, although I’m giving my ALL to eliminate all anxiety from my being.

This habit of feeling anxious is, I believe, a trained state of being. Perhaps you’ve trained yourself to worry about something a lot. And slowly but surely that extends to other areas of your life. However, if that’s true then it must also be possible to train yourself in the other direction.

One of the ways to eliminate anxiety from your life is to take a step back and think about whether your anxiety makes sense. Some anxiety is simply irrational. Like anxious meeting someone for the first time. What could possibly happen? Even if you think that thing is a huge issue, think what good does worrying about it gives you? Nothing, in fact it is when you are flying high and NOT feeling anxious that the solutions to the issues you face come to you!

I heard before that if you want the physical manifestations of all the things you desire, just relax your whole self. Then relax it some more. Then relax it some more! Might seem like too simple, but I believe the idea behind it is that a high vibration and total relaxation goes hand-in-hand. When you are totally relaxed in body and mind, you have essentially let go of everything, and allowed the Universe to bring you what you want.

You have let go of your belief that you couldn’t be or have something. You have let go of your need to control how the Universe brings what you want to you. You have surrendered.

So relax. Anything else?

So every time you feel yourself starting to become anxious about some issue, find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down, and relax, relax, relax, relax, relax…

I don’t want to bombard you with too many things to do, but maybe one more. Bring your attention to the present moment. You’ll find that you think less, and in thinking less there is peace. If you could maintain this state for some time, things in life will start working out. Seems magical I know, but you won’t know for sure until you try it for yourself. If you need to rationalize it, feeling good always brings you what you want, and in the present moment there are only positive feelings to be experienced. In the present moment there is utter peace, and nothing is lacking.
