How to achieve Success in life Without extra effort

Hey everyone, it’s Clark, and I’ve decided that my topic with you today will be how to achieve success in life without extra effort. Because let’s face it, everybody wants to be successful and if there is a way to do that without having to sacrifice your time with loved ones, without having to risk your previously hard-earned money, without sacrificing your health, why shouldn’t you consider it?

What Constitutes Success For YOU?

Before we go into the achieving success part, I think the first thing that you need to do is clarify for yourself what success means to you. Is it having more money than you can spend? Is it having good health and relationships while being not too bad in the money department? Is it doing something that you enjoy every single day?

If money = success for you, just remember that when we are gone from this world we will leave behind all the money that we have accumulated. Some people have all the money in the world but they are fighting all the time, with their spouse, with their business rivals, whoever. Although please don’t think that having or saving money is a bad thing. Money by itself is a tool, and can bring much ease, convenience and joy, for instance just imagine yourself spending some money to travel to a place that you’ve wanted to see for a very long time. So don’t turn your nose up at a goal of having lots of money! Someone once said that we should love people and use money, and not love money and use people.

I doubt there is one right answer for this. What is important is you’re happy with the success that YOU have defined. So maybe a satisfying answer is success is whatever that gives you joy and makes you incredibly happy.

Sharing My Two Cents…

Let me first clarify that I’m not guaranteeing any kind of results whatsoever from my recommendations here. They are what I believe worked for me in the past and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you.

There is no one way of achieving success in life. Many people have become successful in a variety of ways. So I think it is about finding what works for you and applying that to your advantage.

Unlike much of the Internet, I’m not going to be giving you a list of 10 or 20 things that will apparently help you to become successful. Rather I’ll just suggest one or two major actions that you can put into practice today, and will not require much effort at all. In fact they might be fun. So we shall skip all those generic advice that you often hear on the web.

The first thing you need to do, after knowing what success is to you, is to make a commitment to yourself that you are going to get it no matter what (except through unethical means!). Once you do that, somehow someway it sets powerful motions in play to bring you your goal. So, decide that you will not stop until you have what you want in your hands. Only by knowing that are you able to bring it to you intentionally.

Visualization is an age-old practice. You may have heard so many stories of sportspeople using this to great effect in their matches or tournaments, and who’s to say it doesn’t work? There are probably many versions on how to do it but the gist of it is this: Close your eyes, be relaxed in body and mind, form an image of yourself in possession of what you want already (make it a moving image), while imagining that make sure you feel the way you know you would once you have already achieved your goal.

To visualize effectively, it is important to be as relaxed as possible and to have a clear mind. This is where meditation comes in. It is said that people who practice visualization also practice meditation to clear their minds and relax themselves so that when they visualize their goal it comes to them faster. In my opinion, an alternative is to just do it – visualize what you want, and in the process of doing that the feelings that you get such as Satisfaction, Anticipation, Fulfillment and Bliss would naturally relax you.

Do What You Like!??

Another action that I also recommend is to follow your bliss. This means do what is in alignment with your soul. The principle is that each person on Earth is here to be the person they’re meant to be, to fulfill their purpose, and to live the life they’re meant to live, and if you do that then everything you want will come to you automatically before you even ask for them. To put this into practice, today do something that you’ve wanted to do for a very long time, or something that would make you really happy. Say, learn something new, listen to music you like, watch a movie, plan a trip to a place you have wanted to go for a very long time, etc. After the activity, you can reflect on your experience, how you felt, in a journal. You might find your purpose in this way.

A belief that you should let go of as soon as possible, is that hard work and big struggle is the answer, which of course is what our cultures teach us. Some huge effort might be required when you first discover your life’s passion, but when you are following your bliss, and truly enjoying what you’re doing nothing is hard work.

    I’ve come to realize that working hard and hard work are two different things. I’ve been visualizing a lot and I figured that it’s actually more efficient if I do 100% of my visualizations at one specific time so that the rest of the day I’ll be free. But anyway, it doesn’t actually seem like a chore, it’s all in our minds 😀

    • Do you mean that hard work indicates struggle, but working hard is inspired action? If so I would totally agree with you. It is said that if we can be in a good-feeling state long enough (and visualization is one way of reaching that state), we would be guided in thoughts and actions to bring ourselves closer to what we want.

      I suspect that by focusing on doing all of your visualizations at one specific time, you managed to reach that place of feeling really good, and then you were guided as to the best thoughts and actions that you can take. That’s what led to you having a more efficient day.

  2. These seem to me like very good tips for me to attain success. Everyone in life wants to be successful but we want to do that without going through so much stress which is exactly what this post has shown me here and I would love to use what I have learnt here in my daily routine.

    • Well said, Jackie. If we look around us, those who are achieving incredible success seem to be doing it with ease, and that’s because they are utilizing powers that many people are not aware of. Or maybe they are aware, but how to use these powers to their advantage?

      In the last decade or so, there seemed to be an explosion of awareness of the law of attraction. But many people don’t know yet how to use it to GREAT effect. That’s my mission with this website, to help people live the life of their dreams. Please feel free to read other posts I’ve written!

  3. I felt this could be due to law of attraction that I am reading this article. I happen to be reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill lately. In this book, it is also teaching me to do something similar. I’m now into the part on Autosuggestion and having Faith. Imagine what I want and also to write it down. Repeat it to yourself daily. Need to have consistency every day to tell our subconscious mind what we want and infuse it with positivity. To have clarity about what we want, imagine it and believe we are already there. Then our subconscious mind will somehow give us a plan while we close our eyes and imagine it as clearly as we can. Once we have the plan, we should / must take action. For me, the imagination part is something I’m not quite there yet. I am at best just having a hazy picture. It is important to keep practicing. Thank you for sharing this article.

    • Hello Richard, 

      Yes, as you imagine what you want and believe you already have it (and you should feel really, really good because you have what you want, right?), then before long you would start to receive impulses from the Universe, each time to do something which would bring what you want and you one step closer to each other. In my case, often I am in the middle of doing something or the doing is already over before I realized that I have been guided by the Universe to do something that got me closer to what I have asked for. That’s how natural the doing is when it is instructed by the Universe, to the extent that I did it without realizing the purpose of it until it is done.   

      You said you are having a bit of trouble with your imagination. May I suggest that you reach for the feeling that you want instead of trying to fill in the details in your mind? For example, if you want to have lots of money to be able to travel the world without having to go back to work then feel the joy and excitement of being able to do that. Then let the details come to you if they do, but don’t worry about it if they don’t.
