How to Overcome Lack of Energy

Hey everyone, Clark here from Self Help Books. Today I would like to discuss with you on the topic of “how to overcome lack of energy”. In this fast-paced modern world, life can sometimes take everything out of us, and we’re left feeling spent with nothing more to give. But the truth is, we have this ability to tap into a deep reservoir of energy that is provided by the Cosmos or Universe that will refresh and light us up again, no matter how drained we were before.

Once you understand this and make it a living principle in your life, you will find that you almost always have an excess of energy to draw upon.

I used to be what is termed “healthy”, but the reality is – I felt exhausted at the end of each work day, and I would get my fair share of the latest illnesses going around.

Imagine having optimal levels of energy throughout the day and no longer experiencing the diminishing returns that happen over time. That is really how life’s supposed to be. And just imagine what could be possible for you if you have this power at the ready in your daily life.

Belief, Joy and Laughter – That’s What You Need

I could tell you to exercise, drink plenty of water, go to bed early, and those may well be good practices that could energize you in the short-term. But they are all based on the belief that to stop feeling so tired all the time is something that is achieved from the OUTSIDE, thus they are not long-term solutions. The thing is, having an endless supply of energy ultimately begins from the INSIDE – in the mind.

When you come home from a long day at school or work, and a family member asked you for help in washing the dishes or fixing something – how do you feel? You don’t feel like you have the energy. Then, say that you get a phone call from one of your friends suggesting that you guys watch a movie or play pool. Suddenly, you feel motivated and energized!

Having an endless supply of energy is more mental than physical. That’s why meditation is such a powerful tool in overcoming lack of energy. Meditation aligns us with the Cosmos and restores our state of being to its natural state of love, joy and peace. I’ve found that being happy and appreciative and in peace is incredibly underrated. I’ll be happy when I’ve achieved my goals, they say. But I’ve learned that it’s the other way around. When we get the mental/spiritual side of things right, then we tap into the power of the Universe (such as an endless supply of energy) and use that to achieve our goals with much more ease.

That would be all from me today. 1. Hello Clark, a very positive post. Much better than being low in energy and seeking ways to boost it. Why not learn how to keep it up so that you avoid the lows in the first place?

    I enjoyed reading this!

  2. I see your point. The mind is very powerful and you can decide you have energy for something suddenly if you are interested in that thing. This will mean that what you feel when you think you lack energy is lack of interest.
These subliminals are very interesting especially as they are auditory and visual stimuli that are below the limit of conscious perception and affect us unconsciously. I have heard of such technologies being used by some retail giants to get people to buy from their stores.
I think this is a very interesting topic. I will like to learn more about it. It might come in handy for me in one of my blue days.
    Thanks for the post.

    • Try subliminals on yourself and watch what happens.

I’ve been using subliminals since the day I discovered them. They really work.

  3. It is so true that you can think you are living a healthy lifestyle and still always feel tired. Aside from an illness that affects your energy level, it is mostly how we think about things and life in general. Subliminal images or messages could be a good way to work on improving energy.

  5. Putting my mindset at the forefront of everyday is something I try to stay in the habit of doing. Nightly meditation helps me as well. Dark thoughts and destructive thinking leave me both unmotivated and unwilling to be productive—proactive even. A sudden decision to change my routine gives me an energy boost as well.

So, I try to stay positive and uplifted; at the very least, content. I often listen to soothing audio on loop when I’m asleep. I’ve found that being well-rested for a long period of time, helps me stay energized the following day, regardless of its highs or lows.

  6. The power of positive thinking is how I interpret what you are saying. I always try to be positive and your advice has helped, especially when my arthritis gets too bad and I just want to sit down and do nothing.

  7. I get what you mean when you talk about having zero energy to do the dishes but loads of energy to go out and have a good time with friends! Happens all the time to me. It does prove that it is all in our mind though.

    Interesting article.

  8. Wow, what a great post and thank you for the reminder!
I struggle a lot with maintaining my energy levels. My problem is that I am bipolar. I am usually on the manic side and struggle to keep my energy in…. and then when I fail I fall and have zero energy for a while.
The point you brought up that really picks me up again every time is laughter. If I am able to laugh and feel joy I can get up and face anything.
