Reading Prosper While You Sleep book, Chapter 15: Free mental exercises

Hello, hello, what’s up folks? Welcome back to this series, I’m Clark of course, and here on this page we shall look at Chapter 15 of the Prosper While You Sleep book, titled “Mental Exercises vs. Physical Exercises”. There are free mental exercises that one can do to sharpen one’s concentration, and a sharpened concentration will bring much change to your life, so you might want to seriously practice them.

Just Start Already!

Many people have read countless self-help books, and they are good ones too, but the reason that they’ve not yet found what they want is because they did not get far with the suggestions in the books. Some repeatedly tell themselves, “OK, do this, then do this” instead of actually doing it! Instead of doing something, they are always thinking about doing it. Some did not give it an intense enough go, and by that I mean not allowing enough time or not getting into the activity enough for a strong feeling to rise up inside of them. And then nothing happens. And then they gave up.

The thing is, you need to take this step by step. If I liken it to a sport like Formula 1, the first phase of this is more like practice. You fit the parts together, you fire up the engine to make sure it works, you check the systems, you get a feel for the race track, etc. Don’t think about the glory and success for the time being and just try to reach for a feel-good state of being, which is what happens when you think positively, when you meditate, when you relax and chill in the knowledge that the Universe is bringing you all that you desire.

It won’t be long before something shifts in your reality rather noticeably. You cannot fail to recognize it, and once you get a taste that this actually works, then the motivation to continue doing this arises in you.

Focusing on (Already Having) What You Want is a Mental Exercise

So this chapter suggests you pick something to focus upon and see how long you can keep your attention there. In my opinion, imagining you already have your desire with you and enjoying it is a mental exercise by itself, so why not go into that straightaway? Or how about focusing on the sensation of your breath (which is what meditation is) and see how long you can keep your attention on it?

If you want to take someone you care about on a trip or a cruise, but never had the time or money before, start imagining on that subject especially before you go to bed. Imagine being on that ship with that person, imagine doing things together on that ship, imagine having those buffet meals upon that ship, imagine watching live music together, imagine the live entertainment. You can do some research on cruises and what people do on them to help you in your imagination.

OK folks, that’s all I have for you today. I hope you’ve enjoyed yourself, and I urge you to practice focusing on already having what you want right now, like right this minute. Be sure to leave your questions and comments in the comment box below, and on my part I shall get back to you ASAP. Thanks a lot as always, and I’ll see you very soon!
