Hi there, folks! Welcome back to this series, which is almost at its end! I’m Clark (as you well know… right?) and right here on this page we shall look at Chapter 25 of the Prosper While You Sleep book, titled “Electrosonic Means of Aiding You”. Below you’re going to find some of my elaboration for the question: how to change my beliefs by making use of technology, namely a smartphone and a simple app in this case.
Set Your Affirmations
This chapter is something unexpected. It suggests using audio recordings to reprogram our beliefs while we sleep. I’m fully supportive of such tools, because they are easy to use, are usually non-sleep inducing, and in certain cases, free. You can even make them yourself as I have done before myself.
I remember making an audio recording using a downloaded free app on my tablet. I recorded the phrase “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy”, which I got from Charles Haanel’s Master Key System. And then I play the recording on repeat whenever I could. It was a little weird listening to my own voice at first, but I soon got over it.
The affirmation can be about anything. It can even be about how you always think positive! The important thing to remember is to make the affirmation as coming from a place where you are who you want to be, or you’re doing what you always wanted to do, or you already have what you want and are enjoying it to the fullest.
Some Good Ideas, If I May Say So Myself
An affirmation that I love is “Everything is working out for me”, or “I am enlightened/I am aligned with Source/God (feeling absolutely wonderful)”.
“I am enough” is another great affirmation. The way I understand this affirmation is I don’t have to be, or do, or have more than I already am, or am doing, or have. But I want to be focusing on the positive instead of the negative, hence the affirmation doesn’t include the part on “I don’t have to…”. But it’s important to understand its meaning. “I am relaxed and satisfied and happy and excited” is what this affirmation is saying. Or “I am/am doing/have everything I want to be/do/have”.
One More Chapter to Go!
This is the penultimate chapter of this book and this series, and I hope you’ve enjoyed listening to my ramblings on every chapter. If you feel the release of resistance (of negative thinking) as you read this book, that is an indicator that this is a good self-help book. Of course you then want to apply what you’ve learnt and be non-resistant all the time to all the good things in life. I wish you a wonderful day with your positive thoughts, and I’ll see you soon!
