This will be the first of my 3-part series about sexual energy. I believe there is some confusion regarding the understanding of this term, where some think that this energy is only used for sex. However, sexual energy may be tapped for creative use in other areas of your life.
So here comes the first part in the series – what is Sexual Energy?
The Most INTENSE Human Emotion?
Sexual energy can be thought of as a feeling you get in your body. So you feel your sexual energy as arousal or turn-on.
An interesting fact: Sexual energy is like a tuning fork. If you tap a tuning fork and hold it next to another, the second fork will begin to vibrate at the same frequency as the first. This happens sexually when your woman picks up on your sexual energy and gets turned-on.
It is said that the intensity of sexual energy cannot be matched by any other emotion known to mankind. It can override even the most intense fears in a human being and make you do things that you would not otherwise do. Think infidelity, or crimes of passion.
On the positive side, no other force has the capacity to inject such amounts of courage, motivation and creativity as sexual energy.
Channel Your Sexual Energy into Creativity and Well-being
Sex is, of course, one of the ways in which you could channel your sexual energy. In fact, the most normal reaction to a surge of sexual energy in people is to immediately expend it via some sexual activity. The reason for this is that people find it difficult to contain such an intense emotion and find it a relief to release it through any sexual activity.
That is not to say that sexual activities are bad. Not at all. In fact, I’m sure you’ve heard this before somewhere or from someone, science has proven that sex has numerous health benefits. For instance, sex lowers your risk of cardiovascular disease (such as heart attack), reduces pain, lowers blood pressure, improves your mood, strengthens your immune system, and helps you sleep.
Overindulgence in sexual activities, though, means that you are not realizing the full potential of this energy, which can be channeled into creative expression and enhancing your well-being. It also means that it is controlling you rather than the other way around. In the third part of this series, I will be discussing ways to contain and then transform our sexual energy (As with other forms of energy, sexual energy can be transmuted and used for other purposes besides sex).
But first, here is the second part of my series on sexual energy, in which I discuss the means of increasing our sexual energy.
Thus ends my brief introduction to what sexual energy is. If you’ve found this post to be interesting, do share it with your (adult) friends and family members!
